The Grand Vision

The long-term vision, core aspirations, and an overall understanding of Isis Moon.

The Grand Vision

The Bigger Picture

The "bigger picture" or Grand Vision of Isis Moon is being a global leader in wholistic wellness and cultural awareness. We focus on bridging the cultural gap for the African Diaspora and spiritual empowerment for black and indigenous women of color. By preserving and promoting indigenous and African-based spiritual traditions, Isis Moon aims to serve as a transformative platform where women of color can reconnect with their cultural roots, embrace their inner goddess, and step into their full power. This journey not only allows them to build lasting legacies and break generational cycles but also empowers their future descendants to thrive.

Through the provision of spiritual tools, resources, and community support, Isis Moon also aims to be a key catalyst in inspiring the African Diaspora as a whole, to live enhanced lives while encouraging global recognition of the Divine Feminine and igniting an ancestral cultural renaissance.

The Mission

What is Isis Moon and the Mission?

Isis Moon is a Healing House.  It is a spiritual oasis, cultural organization, and a wholistic wellness center headed by  Janiqwa "Iya J." Nganga. Isis Moon is a sacred space--both virtual and physical--for the African Diaspora to reconnect with their ancestral wisdom, as well as for Black and Brown women to activate their womb power and rise as modern day goddesses through "wholistic" rituals, cultural healing, and spiritual elevation.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of others by offering services and products that promote self-care, uplift, and heal the mind, body, and spirit.  We strive to foster spiritual development by supporting individuals to be in alignment with their higher self, to navigate life's challenges, and raise awareness of various indigenous cultures. We bridge the gap between the African Diaspora and our cultural-spiritual roots, while specifically guiding Black and Brown women back to the wholeness of our true divine selves.

What Problem Is Isis Moon Solving?

Solutions

The Problem

Isis Moon is addressing the disconnection that individuals of the African Diaspora experience from their cultural and spiritual roots. Due to historical oppression, colonization, and systemic racism, many have been distanced from ancestral traditions, practices, cultural background, and a sense of identity.

Isis Moon also addresses the fact that even though the Black woman stands as the original Mother of humanity, many of her daughters today do not know their power and remain among the most incomplete inwardly, unsupported, stressful, and unacknowledged. Behind many success stories, far too many suffer in silence—carrying the weight of "busy-ness" burnout, chronic illness, mental depression, emotional exhaustion, and a deep sense of unfulfilled purpose. Statistically, Black women are among the highest percentages of race gender groups for overall stress burdens in the U.S. --with a lack of clear, consistent statistics for the stress levels and wellness of Black men.

The Solutions

Isis Moon solves this by providing a space where Black and Brown women can reconnect with their cultural heritage, embrace their spiritual power, and heal from generational trauma. Through wholistic wellness, spiritual guidance, and culturally informed practices, Isis Moon also empowers individuals in general to reclaim the divine feminine essence, manifest their potential, heal the mind-body-spirit as a whole, and create lasting personal and collective transformation.

In terms of raising awareness of various indigenous cultures, Isis Moon is deeply dedicated to educating and empowering our communities about such cultures as African Traditional Spirituality. We are committed to dispelling misconceptions, shifting negative connotations around words like Hoodoo, and reclaiming the true essence of these sacred practices—which are rooted in ancestral wisdom, healing, and liberation. Through cultural reconnection, knowledge-sharing, and spiritual empowerment, Isis Moon will break the stigma and restore the sacredness of these traditions.

Our Beliefs

Our Core Pillars of Philosophy

At the heart of this organization is a belief in the Supreme Consciousness, supported by four core pillars of philosophy:

  1. African Traditional Spirituality – With special focus on the Yoruba Ifa Orisa tradition and Bukongo spirituality

  2. Spiritualism – Honoring the connection to the spiritual realm and the guidance of ancestors, spirit guides, etc.

  3. The Divine Feminine – Embracing Goddess veneration and the innate power of women which is an aspect intentionally left out of many mainstream religions and systems

  4. Personal Divine Mysticism – Harnessing the power of the self, the mind, higher levels of consciousness, and the insights of quantum physics

These pillars guide our practices and beliefs, weaving together ancient wisdom and personal empowerment.
