Join me, Iya J., and my sister Manbo Sabree, for an enlightening discussion on Bukongo spirituality and its powerful presence in the diaspora, from the Gullah Geechee corridor to Haiti’s rich spiritual traditions.


We will discuss some of the following


  • How is the Kongo connected to many of our ancestors

  • How it shows up in the south (particularly the Gullah Geechee corridor), Haiti, Brazil, Cuba.  

  • Who are some impactful Kongo ancestors and notable figures
